The Chairman, OAUSTECH Research and Innovation Fair (ORAIF-2026), Prof. Kehinde Soetan, made the disclosure recently during a chat with OAUSTECH News.
According to the Biochemistry scholar, the Fair is part of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Temi Ologunorisa's strategic vision to promote the University's research capacity, innovation and institutional visibility.
He stated that the event will foster collaboration among researchers and students, encourage innovation and interdisciplinary research, facilitate knowledge sharing among researchers, enhance students' research presentation skills and provide opportunities for researchers and students to showcase their research outputs to industries and the wider public, among others.
Prof. Soetan noted that the programme would unleash students' creativity, academic development and project the University's research profile index and innovation to the world.
He hinted that a mock exhibition will be held by the first week of November to adequately prepare participants for the event proper.
Concluding, Prof. Soetan called on Heads of Departments from the various Schools/Faculties within the University to encourage outstanding undergraduate students with exceptional research projects capable of projecting OAUSTECH globally to participate.
