1. DIRECTOR OF PHYSICAL PLANNING, WORKS AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES: CONTISS 15
Job Summary:
The Director of Physical Planning, Works and Maintenance Services is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the development, maintenance, and management of the university’s physical infrastructure. Specifically, the candidate will be expected to:

Oversee planning, design, and execution of capital projects and renovations.

Supervise maintenance of buildings, infrastructure, and utilities.
-
Prepare and maintain the University’s fixed assets register and make periodic reports to the Senate and Council on the physical state of the University.

Establish and enforce facility management and sustainability policies.
-
Liaise with contractors, consultants, and government agencies.
-
Manage budgets, procurement, and project schedules.
-
Ensure compliance with regulations and university policies.
-
Manage the department’s budgets, oversee procurement processes, and develop and monitor project schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of all assignments.

Ensure that all activities comply with applicable regulations as well as the university’s internal policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Experience:
Candidates must possess a good degree or equivalent in the relevant field (Engineering/Architecture/ Building Technology/Surveying or Town Planning) with Fifteen years (15) years post-registration experience, plus a Master’s degree in any of the above fields, three (3) of which must have been as a Deputy Director in a university system or similar institution and be registered with relevant professional bodies.
2. ARCHITECT GRADE I: CONTISS 8
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the construction of buildings and other infrastructure projects within the university. Specifically, the candidate will be expected to:

Design and develop architectural plans and specifications.

Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies.

Collaborate with stakeholders to determine project requirements.
-
Oversee construction projects to ensure compliance with designs and regulations.
-
Develop and maintain relationships with contractors, engineers, and other professionals.
Qualifications and Experience:
Candidates must possess a good university degree in Architecture/Environmental Design not lower than Second Class Lower Division from a recognized university plus a Master's degree in the above discipline, or a good university degree not below Second Class Lower Division from a recognized university with three years of cognate post-qualification experience. The candidate must be registered with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON), and must be computer literate.
3. DIRECTOR OF INFORMATION, PROTOCOL AND PUBLIC RELATIONS: CONTISS 15
Job Summary:
The Director will oversee the development and implementation of information strategies, manage protocol services, and ensure effective communication and representation of the university.
Qualifications & Experience:
Candidates are required to possess a good degree in Communication, Public Relations, or a related field, with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in university administration or similar institution plus a Master’s degree in the above discipline. Additionally, at least three (3) of those years should have been served in a Deputy Director capacity, and registration with relevant professional bodies is mandatory. Specifically, the candidate is expected to:

Develop and implement information, protocol, and public relations strategies.

Manage media relations and communications.

Coordinate protocol events and ceremonies.
-
Provide strategic advice on public relations and image management.
-
Foster relationships with stakeholders, including media, government, and alumni, and must be computer literate.
