QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

Candidates applying for this position must possess Ph.D degree in appropriate specialization from reputable Universities or comparable institutions of higher learning and a good first degree in an appropriate discipline and any other professional health field for candidate applying for position in allied health sciences (e.g. Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Physiotherapy and other medical rehabilitation specialties, Radiography)

1. Professor - CONUASS 7

Qualifications and Experience

• The candidate must have been on CONUAS 6 for at least two years or applicants who have been on a rank of Senior Lecturer cadre for 5 years, and must have 10 years' teaching and research experience in a university.

• Candidates must also possess scholarly publications in high-impact journals, both locally and internationally, have experience in grantsmanship, demonstrate ability to initiate and direct new research efforts, provide mentorship to junior academics, considerable administrative experience and postgraduate supervision.

2. Reader (Associate Professor) - CONUASS 6

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates must have at least 2 years teaching and research experience as Senior Lecturer.

• Candidates must also possess scholarly publications in high-impact journals, both locally and internationally, have experience in grantsmanship, demonstrate ability to initiate and direct new research efforts, provides mentorship to junior academics, considerable administrative experience and postgraduate supervision.

3. Senior Lecturer - CONUASS 5

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates must have at least 2 years teaching and research experience as Lecturer I.

• Candidates must also possess scholarly publications in high-impact journals, both locally and internationally, have experience in grantsmanship, demonstrate ability to initiate and direct new research efforts, provides mentorship to junior academics and considerable administrative experience.

4. Lecturer 1 - CONUASS 4

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates must have at least 2 years teaching and research experience in the University or relevant tertiary institutions.

• Candidates must also possess scholarly publications both locally and internationally.

5. Lecturer II - CONUASS 3

Qualifications and Experience

• Candidates applying for this position must possess Ph.D degree in the specialization from reputable Universities or comparable Institution of higher learning and a good first degree in an appropriate field.
